Okra gumbo base



Serving suggestion: Over pasta, couscous, mash or rice as a vegetarian meal with a salad, or as a side with grilled or roast meats. Also delicious as a base for a chicken or sausage stew or thick meaty gumbo soup.

Cooking method: Defrost first, then in a pot, heat over low on a stovetop with the lid on until completely defrosted, stirring occasionally. Raise the heat, lift the lid and stir until the dish comes to a boil.
