Serving suggestion: Great on its own with a Greek salad, steamed vegetables, Ratatouille or Potato Gratin

Cooking method: Defrost and remove the lid. Place in a preheated oven of 180°C for ±20 Minutes until heated through and bubbling hot. increase the temperature to ±220°C and cook until the top is golden crispy.

Description

Moussaka is a classic dish from the eastern Mediterranean. It consists of thinly sliced and fried aubergine layered with a tomato-based meat sauce and topped with a cheesy egg sauce.

Ours is made with farm-grown fried aubergine and heirloom tomatoes, and veld raised meat, a combination of pork and beef

This meaty dish has delicate flavours. It was easy to heat in the oven and made a delicious meal. There is a generous quantity and it made a substantial meal for one.
