Serving suggestion: For a more substantial meal serve as an omelette filling or with a fried egg on top, and some lightly pickled cucumber. For extra flavour add a little sesame oil or garlic-chilli sauce.
Cooking method: Defrost first, then heat in a microwave or fry in a pan, taking care not to overcook.

Known as Hainanese Chicken Rice, the dish is all about the pure taste of chicken and rice. The dish consists of succulent steamed chicken cut into bite-size pieces and served with fragrant rice, first fried, then cooked in the broth from the chicken. This is our interpretation of the dish, mixed with caramelised onion, carrots and mushroom. It’s a perfect comfort one-dish meal for busy people on the run, ether as part of a work lunch, or for dinner.
